My approach

My work is grounded in an attachment-based psychoanalytic framework. I pay close attention to the ways our early relationships—particularly with caregivers—shape how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us. These patterns can show up in the present, often outside of awareness, in ways that feel confusing, stuck, or painful—getting in the way of living or relating as we’d hope. I aim to create a space where these experiences can be noticed, explored, and gently understood.

In our sessions, I offer a private, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s going on for you—whether it’s something specific, something unclear, something longstanding, or something that hurts, feels tangled, or has never been spoken aloud. Together, we make sense of your experiences at a pace that feels right for you. I believe change doesn’t come from being told what to do, but from feeling truly heard and understood.

This is a relational process, and I see therapy as something we co-create. I attend not only to what is said, but also to what remains unspoken. Some of the most meaningful insights emerge not from explanation, but from being alongside each other in honest reflection.

I work with both short- and long-term needs. Some clients want to navigate a specific challenge or life transition; others come with longstanding patterns or relational pain they’re ready to explore more deeply. Either way, we begin with where you are now.

My approach is also shaped by a trauma-informed stance. I understand that our adaptations—however confusing or distressing—have often helped us survive, and I hold them with care. I’m sensitive to how systemic issues like oppression, marginalisation, and discrimination can leave lasting marks on how we feel and function. I strive to maintain a practice that is thoughtful, inclusive, and open to a wide range of identities and life contexts.

Ultimately, my aim is to support you in developing a deeper relationship with yourself—one that holds complexity with compassion and makes room for clarity, connection, and change.

About me

I’m currently training at The Bowlby Centre as an attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist and am registered with UKCP as a trainee. I attend weekly supervision and value ongoing learning and reflection.

Alongside my clinical training, I’ve spent several years working alongside people living with significant mental health difficulties as a support worker within a well-known mental health charity. I’m also a Mental Health First Aider.

I hold qualifications in language studies (BA (Hons) and PhD), as well as further training and experience in NLP, life and relationship coaching, Pilates, and fitness. These areas continue to shape how I think about communication, identity, and the relationship between body and mind.

I welcome clients of all ages, cultural backgrounds, identities, and life experiences, and strive to maintain a practice that is inclusive, thoughtful, and responsive. I’m committed to anti-discriminatory practice and to recognising how systems of power, marginalisation, and social injustice shape our emotional lives.

I’m drawn to this work by a deep interest in people, a belief in the quiet power of being truly listened to, and a lasting commitment to understanding the inner world in all its complexity.
